Prepared Slides

Prepared slides are microscope slides that have been pre-treated with a sample of a biological or other substance in order to be viewed under a microscope.

The sample is typically fixed, stained, and mounted onto the slide in a way that makes it visible to the observer. Prepared slides are commonly used in educational settings, such as biology or histology labs, to allow students to study the structure and function of cells, tissues, and other microscopic objects.

They can also be used for research purposes, where scientists use the slides to study the morphology of cells or tissues. Prepared slides can be purchased commercially or prepared in-house using laboratory techniques.
